This standard specifies indicators for fancy plywood in terms of appearance quality, processing accuracy, and physical and mechanical properties. Its physical and mechanical performance indicators include: moisture content, surface bonding strength, immersion and peeling. GB 18580-2001 "Limits of Formaldehyde Release in Artificial Panels and Products of Indoor Decoration and Refurbishment Materials" also stipulates the limits of formaldehyde emission of this product.
1) National standards stipulate that the moisture content index of fancy plywood is 6%~14%.
2) The surface bonding strength reflects the bonding strength between the decorative veneer layer and the plywood substrate. The national standard stipulates that this index should be ≥50MPa, and the number of test pieces that meet the standard should be ≥80%. If this index is unqualified, it means that the glue quality of the decorative veneer and the base material plywood is poor, which may cause the decorative veneer layer to open up and bulge during use.
3) Dipping and peeling reflects the gluing performance of each glue layer of the decorative veneer veneer plywood. The unqualified index indicates that the bonding quality of the board is poor, which may cause the glue to open during use.
4) Formaldehyde emission limit. This indicator is a compulsory national standard implemented by my country on January 1, 2002. This is a "birth certificate" for related products. Since January 1, 2002, products that do not meet this standard are not allowed to be produced. The "market access certificate" for related products, since July 1, 2002, products that fail to meet this standard are not allowed to enter the market circulation field. Exceeding the limit of formaldehyde will affect the health of consumers. The standard stipulates that the formaldehyde emission of decorative veneer veneer plywood should reach: E1 level ≤1.5mg/L, E2 level ≤5.0mg/L.
6. How do consumers choose fancy plywood?
1) First, choose the appropriate material, pattern and color according to the purpose and personal preference; the appearance quality of the decorative veneer plywood directly affects the use effect, and the panel of the product should not be damaged, bruised, For defects such as decay, knots, cracks, indentation, pollution, roughness, etc., the backplane generally requires less stringent requirements.

3) It is necessary to measure whether the actual thickness of the fancy plywood is consistent with the nominal thickness of the merchant when it is sold to prevent cutting corners.
4) The gluing performance of fancy plywood sheets is very important. The quality of this performance directly affects the service life. Therefore, the structure of the glue layer should be stable and there should be no glue opening. Consumers can tap the fancy plywood by hand. In areas where the sound is brittle, it usually proves that the quality is good. If the sound is dull, it means that the bonding quality is not good.
