What are the common specifications of plywood

plywood is a three-layer or multi-layer board like material that is cut into veneer from wood segments or sliced into thin wood from wooden squares, and then glued with adhesive. Usually, odd-numbered veneers are used and adjacent layers of veneers are used. The fiber direction is perpendicular to each other and glued together.

The usual plywood size in mm: 1220x2440mm, and the plywood thicknesses mm: 3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 18mm and so on. The main tree species are: beech, birch, oak, poplar, eucalyptus, etc.

The shuttering plywood used in the formwork is usually composed of 5, 7, 9, 11 and other odd-numbered veneers that are cured by heat and pressure and glued together. The texture directions of adjacent layers are perpendicular to each other. Usually, the texture direction of the outermost surface board is parallel to the long direction of the plywood surface. Therefore, the long direction of the shuttering ply board is the strong direction, and the short direction is the weak direction. You must pay attention to when using it.
