How to choose melamine board?

With the popularity of panel furniture in the family, white melamine faced mdf has gradually become the first choice of furniture factories. The manufacturing materials, surface colors and patterns are also more. In fact, the base material and formaldehyde of the 18mm melamine faced mdf board release amount is also different.

At present, most family-oriented melamine furniture board on the market are made of fir board and particle board. As the base material, in contrast, the performance of fir board is better than the latter. The internal structure of the fir board is uniform, binding force is greater than that of the particle board, the deformation is small, the surface is smooth, and the nail holding force is strong. Made with fir board, the melamine coated mdf of the base material is stronger and more durable, and can better play the characteristics of panel furniture to resist assembly.

white melamine mdf also has formaldehyde emission problems. No matter what kind of board, glue is indispensably used in the manufacturing process, so after forming board will release free formaldehyde. Consumers should pay most attention to the formaldehyde of the board used in furniture.

According to national standards, the amount of formaldehyde emitted per 100 grams of particleboard should be less than or equal.

In 30 mg; per 100 g of E1 medium density board, the formaldehyde emission is less than or equal to 9 mg; In the E2 grade medium density board, the formaldehyde emission is between 9 mg and 40 mg. That is said that the formaldehyde emission is higher than the above-mentioned standard furniture grade mdf, it is not suitable to buy.

Consumers can ask the merchant to issue a test report of the furniture base material to identify whether this indicator meets the requirements. There are currently three grades of melamine faced boards: environmentally friendly, EO grade, and negative ion. Most manufacturers only have E1 level, so choose regular channels when buying.
