What is the difference between sanding and matte of MDF

When the thickness of the MDF board is less than or equal to 6 mm, the surface has two effects: matte and sanding. The matte density board has a layer of paraffin wax on the surface and it feels very smooth to the touch. The sanding mdf surface has a rougher surface due to the additional process of sanding the surface in the manufacturing process. Density boards with a thickness of more than 6 mm are all sanded.

The physical properties of matte and sanding MDF are basically the same. The main difference is that the surface of the sanded faced mdf sheet has a better adsorption of paint and glue. Therefore, when you need to apply glue or paint on the surface of MDF, you must choose a thin plate with a sanded surface. Therefore, the thin mdf with a sanded surface is often used as a mdf decorative panels for pianos, wardrobes, doors, speakers, etc. Apply paint to save labor and paint consumption, or it can be used as a substrate for veneer pressing, decorative paper pressing and other fields.
